- 3 finely chopped red chilies
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil
- Juice of half a lemon
- 2 tablespoon of chopped parsley
- 2 crushed garlic cloves

Get the fishmonger to thoroughly clean the squid for you and once you are in your home kitchen ,separate the tentacles of the squid from the body. Cut the body of the squid on one side of the squid so that you can open it easily. Score the inside of the squid lightly while taking care not to cut all the way through. Rinse the squid well and place it in a colander to dry.
Now it is time to mix your sauce ingredients in a bowl and season the squid. Toss it in some oil.
Preheat your BBQ until it is very hot. Put the squid tentacles on the BBQ and then place the squid bodies with the cut side down. It should take just one or two minutes for the squid to cook and you can tell that it is down when the edges start to curl up.
Remove the squid from the barbecue and garnish before serving. You can use fresh herbs to add a splash of color and a little extra flavor that is sure to satisfy.
